Opportunity

From Evan Almighty ... God, "Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?"

God has given me many opportunities as of late to be a leader, to trust, to appreciate life. It is not always easy to be confronted with these "opportunities." If you have not noticed, most of God's opportunities are meant to help you grow into yourself. Growth is not exactly a comfortable thing. In fact, is growth ever comfortable?

I look at Evan and I have to believe that growth does not always have to be uncomfortable. I have been observing her figuring things out, walking about, working with words and communication. Maybe what makes it so nice for her to grow is two parents applauding her as she tries different things and picking her up and holding her when she falls. We encourage our children to grow. Do we as a society stop encouraging each other to grow or do we just forget how to recognize encouragement from others? Maybe God's "opportunities" are encouragement. After all, He/She is just trying to help us get what we want. Huh?

I don't think that I have ever been as clear as to what I want in life. Evan has definitely improved my focus and drive. Many of the things that are coming at me right now are very challenging in deed. I have been on the verge of complete overwhelm and have almost given up several times. But I always go back to faith. I mean, wow, the bigness of it all. Anything is possible. In fact there is an ocean of possibilities that are within reach. Some of these possibilities seem negative, some seem very positive. I focus on the best possible outcomes and work towards allowing those to happen. This is what it's all about; focus, trust and movement.

So, stuff happens. I believe that it is all in the direction of my growth. It is God's attempt to bring out the best in me. And so I continue, with hand on heart and joy in my eyes.

I tried the alternative to this. It wasn't much fun.

Staying Connected

The Bigness of the Universe is an amazing thing. Everything is within it. It is a pool of endless supply. God (the Universe) is everywhere, in everything, in everyone. The only thing that we are here to do is wake up to this fact and dance (create) in the glory of this truth.

With something so big and so wonderful, how do we get so lost from It? How do we lose our connection? I think that it all comes down to fear. I believe that hell can only happen when we forget our Source. It happens when we lose our perspective of a loving, supportive Energy Field that wants the best for us.

I know that lately I have been getting a bit more metaphysical on this blog. I have been exploring the nature of God and our relationship to all that is. I often shied away from such talk, but now I embrace it. Truth is Truth. Speaking of this Truth helps me to cement it in my mind and ground it in my soul. I shall no longer fear as long as I am aware of and know my connection with God.

I have started to read these books by Wallace Wattles; The Science of Being Rich and The Science of Being Great. They have been a great help in focusing me to the oneness of the Universe. Just being reminded of this fact has helped me immensely to stand without fear. Basically, we are surrounded by a thinking substance that is where everything comes from. As we impress a thought upon this substance, the thought manifests into our reality. Holding the thought and taking fight action is what gets us anything that we could ever want. All is perfect in this world. The only thing that is wrong (at times) is my own personal attitude.

I highly recommend these old books (both published originally in 1911). They have been reprinted lately because of their inspiring of The Secret.

Youth from Within

I am really surprised how fast the new book is coming out. I have almost completed the section on eating. It is over 21 pages and should be done within a week.

I guess that blogging really healps me put it together. I have noticed some limitations, but who cares. As long as I can get it done.

The new book is called, Youth from Within. I should be completely done with it in about 2 months or so. Woo Hoo!

I am selling each chapter as they come up. The introduction and first chapter on the theory of how you can slow, stop and reverse the rate of aging, and restore your health, will be free.

Be Careful Where You Focus

I came to a realization this morning about my focus (I love these Ah Ha moments). What I came to see is that I have been focusing on everything happening right now. Actually, it has been more like EVERYTHING HAS TO HAPPEN RIGHT NOW!!!!

I wondered, "What is the Universe hearing?" I found that the Universe is hearing desperation and impatience. This must be the interpretation. So what has the Universe done? Sent me more to be desperate and impatient about.

The control of the mind can be a challenge. In fact, it's really our only challenge. When we master our mind, we master our world.

I guess that one of the keys to working with the Universe is to treat the Universe how you would want to be treated. If you would like love from the Universe, give love. If you want more of something, be grateful and appreciative for what you have.

It is an amazing thing how literal the Universe is.

The Basis of Chiropractic

The main goal in the Chiropractic of the past (and the now) is to reconnect the Spirit to the body. It is the true definition of a mind-body practice.

Think about it. Our life experiences happen through or nerve system. All that we see, all that we hear, all that we feel, all that we do happens through our nerve system. This is also where our best self-expresses itself through; the God in you.

So, this God Energy flows through you through your nerve system. If it is allowed to do this, you express fully your total potential. You are healthy. You are happy. Life is awesome.

Where we get into trouble is when we experience interference in our nerve system that turns down our ability to express fully.

There are two major areas where we get interference in our nerve system; Subluxation in our spine and confusion between our ears. Chiropractors sole purpose is to remove the interference in your spine and address the causes in your lifestyle that are creating the subluxations.

By getting the nerve system cleared up in your spine, your mind clears up some as well.
I like to think of an adjustment as clearing the nerve system in such a way that it gives the practice member the opportunity to do something differently. Changing one thought, one behavior, one position in your spine can change your world and mine.

Ah, The Writer I've Become

I sit back in amazement at the volumes that I have written.

I was thinking the other day about what I really liked to do as a child. I can remember that I was really into creating and expressing. I remember writing a book with a friend when I think we were about 7. It was the story of a haunted house. I sang a lot growing up and took up guitar at age 10. Guitar for me has always been a creative outlet. I never really learned many songs in the last 30 years or so. I just play. Writing has become like this for me now, only with a little more structure than when I am playing an instrument.

One thing I remember vividly is how I used to stare at the ceiling and focus on the stucco. Forms would turn into pictures. This was always interesting to me and I never really knew what it meant or if there was any really meaning to it at all. That was until I went on a walk about 10 years or so ago with a Native American mentor of mine. During that time of just getting away from the city and all of my worries this ability became very pronounced. At night while the group sat around the fire, we would take turns talking. As each one spoke, the coals in the fire would transform. I realized that the coals were mirroring the person that was talking. For instance, when Barbara would speak, the coals transformed to show me Mojo, our dog, looking up at her. When another person spoke, I noticed a crow in the coals, this person's power animal.

When I came back to practice, this "gift" would continue for several weeks. While working with a practice member, I would look outside for clues as to how I could help them. I would see the leaves in the trees, or an animal run by, or bark sending me "visions". It's actually really neat to see them clearly as opposed to following the gut like I usually do.

Anyway, the point of these ramblings to express the joy of writing. Thank you for allowing me to be a channel and to share my experiences.

Love Love Love

In researching the question, "How can I fully love myself?" I found some interesting techniques that I thought that I would share.

I Love Myself Affirmation
by Louise Hay
.
Deep at the centre of my being,
there is an infinite well of love.
I now allow this love to flow to the surface.
It fills my heart, my body, my mind, my consciousness,
my very being, and radiates out from me in all directions
and returns to me mutliplied.
The more love I use and give, the more I have to give.
The supply is endless.
The use of love makes me feel good,
it is an expression of my inner joy.
I love myself;
therefore, I take loving care of my body.
I lovingly feed it nourishing foods and beverages,
I lovingly groom it and dress it, and my body lovingly
responds to me with vibrant health and energy.
I love myself; therefore provide for myself
a comfortable home, one that fills
all my needs and is a pleasure to be in.
I fill the rooms with the vibration of love
so that all who enter, myself included,
will feel this love and be nourished by it.
I love myself; therefore I work at a job I truly enjoy
doing, one that uses my creative talents and abilities,
working with and for people I love and who love me,
and earning a good income.
I love myself; therefore, I behave and think in a loving
way to all people for I know that that which I give out
returns to me multiplied.
I only attract loving people in my world,
for they are a mirror of what I am.
I love myself; therefore I forgive and totally release
the past and all past experiences and I am free.
I love myself; therefore I live totally in the now,
experiencing each moment as good and knowing that
my future is bright and joyous and secure,
for I am a beloved child of the Universe
and the Universe lovingly takes care of me
now and forever more.
And so it is.

Mirror Work
Look in the mirror and say "I love you."
Then "I love your ..."
.
Finally, my favorite...
Say "I love you so I can ______."
.
Just let your mind wander. Say it 100 plus times. It is really interesting what comes out and you'll feel really good afterwards.
